Russia

Series of projects funded by multilateral and bilateral donors and working with several departments to assist the Russian Ministry of Tax/Federal Tax Service in improving its consistency and effectiveness as a tax collection body. Inputs included policy advice, overhaul of the internal and external information systems (including creating original software, internal search engine, FAQ and databases), support to negotiations with other state bodies on information-sharing and processes, strategic advice and practical implementation on issues of taxpayer communications and public relations, extensive (re)training inputs, study tours, link building with international and regional bodies (including conferences in Azerbaijan and Ukraine).
