Environment

The post-Soviet legacy of pollutive practices and the active (re)development of extractive industries and other environmentally impacting sectors has coincided with a global realisation of the need to address environmental problems and opportunities. Consequently we are increasingly active in this area.

Russia

Conference in St Petersburg bringing together Russian government, public sector bodies responsible for environmental enforcement, international and local businesses, and international and local environmental NGOs. This was a unique opportunity to bring together disparate but influential actors in order to increase contact and understanding while also highlighting problem areas and pushing forward a practical action plan, subsequently followed-up.

Russia

Seminars and training activities as well as the establishment of a working group bringing together Russian State Duma Environment Committee and environmental NGOs from across the Russian Federation in order to review environmental policy and legislation.
